Terms and Conditions
Ordering your cake:
Please order your cake well in advance of your function - 4-6 months for a wedding cake and 2 weeks for a celebration cake. However, I am able to accept emergency orders subject to availability of time (full payment is required upfront for orders placed with less than one week's notice).
You can order your cakes either over the phone, internet or through a personal consultation with me.
Alterations to orders:
Any alterations to the original order must be confirmed in writing and may be subject to an additional charge. Late amendments to orders are often possible and every effort will be made to accomodate changes; however this cannot be guaranteed.
Cancellations
In the event of cancellation, work already completed will be chargeable.
Payments:
For wedding cakes a non refundable advance payment of 20% of the total cost is required to secure your order. The balance payment should be made at least 4 weeks before the date the cake is required.
For celebration cakes, there is an initial payment of £25. The balance amount is to be paid at the time of collection of the cake.
I will calculate any applicable mileage cost and add that to the cost of the cake. I will inform you of the total cost before you order your cake.
I accept payments by cash or cheque (made payable to R Conlon). Please send cheques to

Delivery:
I will deliver your wedding cake and set it up at your venue subject to my availability. Alternatively, you could arrange for it to be collected.
Delivery within a radius of 10 miles from my home address is free of charge.
Delivery to other areas will incur a charge. This will, at the moment be 40p per mile. Please get in touch for further details.
I do not usually deliver novelty cakes, but am very willing to do so for a mileage charge (as above) to cover fuel expenses.
Hire charges:
A refundable deposit will be required for the hire of cake accessories/equipment such as stands, cake knives, etc. It will be your responsibility to return these promptly and in a good condition.
